The Youth at Northside Church had a Youth Rally Monday night in preparation for school starting back soon. Brother Stan Freeman was invited to come and speak to the kids. Everyone had a great time and there were several kids that turned out for the event. Click the album to the right to see pictures from the rally.

Friday Night Lockin

July 20th Lockin

The youth at Northside held a lockin at the church building Friday night, July 20th. There were over 15 kids that showed up and several chaparones. Everyone enjoyed hotdogs and chips for supper and eggs and bacon for breakfast.

Most everyone stayed up all night playing various board and card games. Some were up at 6:00am still playing. You can see a few pictures that were taken to the right.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Trip

Friday, June 29th, Northside's Youth Group went on its annual trip to the Church of Christ day at Six Flags Over Georgia. We rented a second van to accommodate all sixteen youth and nine adults that went. There were some among us that were newbies to the park and others that were old hands but all in all, everyone had a blast.

We wound up staying until closing time and just as we were leaving, a nasty storm started thundering down on us. It made for an eventful trip home as the old van kept having technical difficulties. In the end, we all made it back to the building safe and sound with plenty of fond memories and a lot of sunburn.

We're all looking forward to next year's trip, that is, after the adults have had time to recuperate. Be sure to check out the pictures to the right.

Vacation Bible School 2007

Northside VBS 2007 Pics

Northside Church held it's annual Vacation Bible School June 10-13th. Brother Stan Freeman from Attala Church of Christ joined us again this year leading the children in songs of praise. Overall, VBS was a great success this year with over 50 kids coming to learn about the Gospel.

The theme this year was Neighbors for Jesus so the entire auditorium was decorated with children from several different countries. Everything looked really good and a special thanks goes out to all those that helped make this year's VBS such a success.

Senior Appreciation Day

The Northside Senior appreciation day was held April 29th 2007 to honor those who were graduating high school this year. The ones that were honored this year are as follows:

After morning services, April 29, 2007, they each recieved a personalized Bible from the Church congratulating their accomplishment and wishing them a happy Christian life.
